Quality Process Engineer 

 

Who we are: 

NPROXX is a global leader in designing, developing and manufacturing Type 4 pressure vessels for the storage of hydrogen under high pressure. Based on 40-year experience in carbon-fiber-reinforced polymer (CFRP) products and systems in various industries NPROXX provides composite tank systems and tailor-made solutions for hydrogen storage applications: Transport and storage (up to 1000 bar), Heavy duty vehicles (350 bar), Automotive (700 bar). 

 

NPROXX has its head office in Heerlen (the Netherlands) and its manufacturing organization in Jülich (Germany), in mid-2023 we relocate to Alsdorf (Germany). NPROXX, originally a split-off from Enrichment Technology Company (ETC), is presently an independent B.V., owned for 50% by ETC and for 50% by Cummins Inc. 

 

Your tasks: 

As an Quality Process Engineer you oversee the and are the active officer who of advance drives the quality planning. You will check documentation and be the process supervisor in production under quality aspects. Are the first designated person to manage and coordinate the complaints management system.  You apply statistical methods and models for quality assurance and quality improvement.  

More concrete: 

• Active driving of advance quality planning, e.g. by participating in FMEA and risk management sessions and in design reviews. 

• Preparation and release of the process control documentation in the Manufacturing-Execution-System under quality aspects to ensure that the quality of both the products and the production processes always meet internal and external requirements and specifications. 
• Handling of deviating items including execution of problem-solving projects (8D methodology). 
• Active and independent application of statistical methods of quality assurance and quality improvement (data analysis, statistical process monitoring, Six Sigma tools). 
• Active driving of the continuous improvement and lessons learned process.  
• Support in the development and introduction of test and inspection processes in production. 

• Most of your time will be spent working in the production environment in Jülich and later in Alsdof. 

 

 

 

Your profile: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Quality, Industrial of Mechanical engineering. 
• Completed Green Belt training or equivalent. 
• 5+ years relevant experience in quality engineering, quality assurance or a similar role. 
• Relevant experience in Manufacturing-Execution-Systems.  
• Familiar with ISO 9001 is more than welcome and highly recommended. 

• Strong communication skills and highly analytical and decisive.  
• Seeking optimization and continuous improvement. 
• Stress resistant and well organized, hands on, can do mentality. 
• Good communication skills in English and German is required (spoken and written). Dutch is a plus. 
• Experience in a start-up desirable (is a plus). 

• Lives in the area or willing to relocate.
